Eggless Wholewheat Banana Oats Cake Recipe - Without Oven




Who doesn't love cakes ? The mention of the word "cake" makes me drool. Out of so many variations of cake available, I am a lover of Banana Cake. The flavour of this moist cake is simply awesome. The recipe is inspired by the very popular Banana Bread but I tried to make a healthier version of this cake. The cake is made with whole wheat flour and oats.. Yes, you heard right Oats ! Trust me, the taste of this cake is no less than awesome. This Wholewheat Oats Banana Cake makes perfectly moist and fluffy cake. Both Eggless and with egg recipe are available on the blog. Do give this a try it's very simple to make. I made this cake in a pressure cooker but you can make it in the oven also.

 Eggless Wholewheat Banana Oats Cake

Ingredients:

1 1/2 Ripe and mashed Bananas
1 Cup Wholewheat Flour
1 Cup Instant Oats
1/2 Cup Refined Oil
1/2 Cup Curd
3/4 Cup Sugar
1 1/2 Tablespoon Baking Powder
1/2 Tablespoon Baking Soda
1/2 Tablespoon Vanilla Essence

Method:

Mash the ripe Bananas nicely so that no lumps are left.
Add oil, sugar, vanilla essence and curd to the mashed bananas and mix well till the sugar dissolves.
Add all the dry ingredients- wheat flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda and mix well.
Ensure no lumps are left in the cake batter
Pour the batter into the tin which is greased with oil
Remove the whistle of the pressure cooker and place the prepared cake tin on a stand or rack so that the cake tin is not in direct contact with the pressure cooker base and cook on medium flame for 40 Minutes.
Check with a knife if it comes out clean the cake is done else cook for another few minutes.
You can also bake it at 180 degrees for 35-40 Minutes.

Recipe: 2min Eggless Microwave Chocolate Mug Cake / Instant Mug Cake




There are days when you want nothing but a cake. I also had one such similar day when after checking my Instagram and seeing so many drooling cake pics I started craving for a cake like anything. But, since it was a busy day so didn't had time to bake an elaborate cake. Suddenly, I remembered this Mug Cake recipe which I had used once or twice. It can be made quickly and it's exactly what I needed to suffice my cake desires. So, you can also follow the recipe and give it a try and yes don't forget to share your feedback.

2 Minutes Eggless Microwave Chocolate Mug Cake:

Preparation Time: 5 Minutes
Cooking Time: 2 Minutes
Serves: 1

Ingredients:

4 Tablespoon Maida/All Purpose Flour
1.5 Tablespoon Coco Powder(unsweetened)
3 Tablespoon powdered Sugar ( You can use granulated sugar also)
1/8 Tablespoon Baking Powder
1 Pinch Baking Soda
2 Tablespoon Cooking oil 
Milk - to adjust consistency
1/4 Tablespoon Vanilla Essence

Method:

  1. Add maida, sugar, baking powder and choco powder in the mug, mix all ingredients well. Add milk, oil and vanilla essence to the powder mixture. Mix everything nicely so that no lumps are left.
  2. The batter should be of flowing consistency( adjust it by adding milk).
  3. Microwave it for 2 minutes. 
  4. Let it set for 1 minute then serve and enjoy.





Tips:

You can add chocolate sauce as toppings or serve with vanilla ice-cream.
Or dust it with sugar powder and top it up with cherries or strawberries.
